Avenhorn
Avenhorn is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Koggenland, and lies about 9 km west of Hoorn.

In 1979, the former municipality of Avenhorn merged into the new municipality of Wester-Koggenland.
The statistical area "Avenhorn", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 3060.[1]
