Maribaculum
Maribaculum is a genus in the phylum Proteobacteria (Bacteria).[1] The name Maribaculum derives from: Latin noun mare, the sea; Latin neuter gender noun baculum, a stick or rod; New Latin neuter gender noun Maribaculum, rod from the sea.[2]

The genus contains a single species,[2] namely M. marinum ( Lai et al. 2009, (Type species of the genus).; Latin neuter gender adjective marinum, of or belonging to the sea, marine.)[3]
