Qoryoley
Qoryoley (Somali: Qoryooley, Arabic: قوريولي) is a city in southern Somalia. It is located in the Lower Shebelle region.

History
In 2018 a Somali government position in Qoryoley was attacked by Al-Shabab militants, resulting in the deaths of two militants.[1]
Demographics
Qoryoley has a population of around 62,700.[2] The broader Qoriyoley District has a total population of 134,205.[3]

Meanwhile, Al-Shabab militants have also attacked Somali government positions in Mashallay and Qoryoley, but Somali forces have repulsed these attacks too. A resident in Qoryoley told VOA Somali that two militants were killed in the clash. The figure was confirmed by Mohamed.
