1961 Boston College Eagles football team
The 1961 Boston College Eagles football team represented Boston College during the 1961 NCAA University Division football season. The Eagles were led by second-year head coach Ernie Hefferle and played their home games at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. After posting a losing record for the second consecutive year, Hefferle resigned as head coach to join as an assistant at Pittsburgh.[2]
