The production of Chery Tiggo was revealed during the 2018 Beijing Auto Show in China with prices ranging from 98,800 yuan to 142,800 yuan,[2] positioning the Chery Tiggo 8 above the Chery Tiggo 7 compact crossover. The engine of the Chery Tiggo 8 is a 1.5 liter inline-four turbocharged petrol engine from the Tiggo 7. For the 2019 model year, a 1.6 liter inline-four direct-injection turbocharged petrol engine mated with a 7 speed dual clutch transmission is added to the product line with prices ranging from 88,800 yuan to 155,900 yuan.[3]
Chery Tiggo 8 Plus
In October 2020, Chery Tiggo 8 Plus was unveiled, a more refined version exclusive to the local market.
