Hussein Mwinyi
Hussein Ali Mwinyi (born in Unguja 23 December 1966) is a Tanzanian politician and the 8th president of Zanzibar.[1] He was the Member of Parliament for Kwahani constituency since 2005. He is the former Minister of Defence and National Service of Tanzania.[2]

Presidency
He is a member of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party and won the party nomination for the 2020 presidential candidate for Zanzibar.[3] He then went to win the election against long time opponent Seif Sharif Hamad.[4]
Personal life
He is the son of the former president of Tanzania Ali Hassan Mwinyi.[5]
