José Carrete
José Carrete de Julián (born 5 April 1951) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a defender in La Liga in the 1970s and 1980s.[1]

He started with Real Oviedo and gained promotion from the Segunda División with them in 1974–75, although following their subsequent relegation he was transferred to Valencia in 1976.[1]
Valencia won the 1979 Copa del Rey,[2] and Carrete was then a member of the successful Valencia side that won the 1980 European Cup Winners' Cup Final against Arsenal.[3] His last games for Valencia were in the 1982–83 season.[1]
Carrete made two appearances for the Spain national football team.[4]
