K Computer Mae Station (京コンピュータ前駅, Kei Konpyūta Mae Eki) is a railway station operated by Kobe New Transit in Chūō-ku, Kobe, Japan. It is located on Port Island and is served by the Port Island Line. The station name is taken from the nearby Riken Advanced Institute for Computational Science, which houses the K computer.[3]
The station is alternatively known as Kobe Animal Kingdom Station (神戸どうぶつ王国駅), named after the nearby theme park of the same name.[1] Prior to 1 July 2011, the station was named Port Island Minami Station (ポートアイランド南駅).[4] The station will be rename to be Keisen Kagaku Center (Kobe Animal Kingdom, Fugaku Mae) on June 2021.
