Lycée Fénelon, Paris

The Lycée Fénelon is a secondary school and an institution for the CPGE in the Latin Quarter, Paris, in the 6th arrondissement. The school's name comes from Fenelon, a priest and french writer that talked about women education in his writings, especially his "Traité de l'éducation des filles". [1]

This school, created as the first high school for girls in Paris,[2] was founded in 1892 in a place built in the 17th century, to prepare girls to École normale supérieure located at Sèvres until 1940. The school became coed in 1979 and in 1973 for CPGEs.
