Nkanu West is a Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. Its headquarters is situated in the town of Agbani.

Nkanu West Local Government Area is made up of Agbani, Akpugo, Akegbe Ugwu, Obuoffia, Umueze, Obe, Amodu, Ozalla and Amurri.
