History
Established in 1957 in Falmouth, it moved to its present location in 1961, and attained Sports College status in 1998, the seventeenth school to do so.[3][4] A new £26 million building, completed in September 2008, has replaced the original block.[5]
On 1 July 2011, Penryn College formally gained academy status.
Academic standards
The latest Ofted inspection (February 2017) saw the school retain its status as 'good',[6] following the previous inspection in April 2012.[7]
