Phoenicircus is a genus of bird in the family Cotingidae.[1] They have a bright red breast, crown, tail, and rump with the carnifex species having dark brown wings and the nigricollis species having black wings. They are frugivores, eating primarily berries and drupes.[2] It contains the following species:
